About Camping
Limited camping is available to participants only, under the following rules.
Guilds and Vendors:
- Camping is allowed in or behind display space as long as all visible equipment is appropriate period equipment.
- No modern camping equipment is visible during festival hours
Designated Camping Areas:
- Limited tent and dry camping area behind the festival (first-come, first-served)
- Follow signs and staff/security directions
- Be considerate and camp close to neighbors to leave room for others
- Observe quiet time: 10 PM – 7:00 AM. There are no showers or supplemental water.
Trailer and RV Camping
- Limited, by reservation only, in the front of festival parking
- Specify motor home, camping trailer and truck, or standard truck with a camper bed attached.
- Prices: RV $10; trailer & truck $10; truck with a camper bed attached $5
- Provide camping vehicle information on the all applications
- Please park close to neighbors to leave room for others
- Observe quiet time: 10 PM – 7 PM
Laguna Lake Park Regulations:
- The park has been designated a non-smoking area by the city of San Luis Obispo.
Prohibited Items:
- No fires, smoking, vaping, or BBQs in tent camping or RV areas – NONE! This means there is no smoking/vaping or any form of heat units allowed, electrical or otherwise, unless designated for specific food vendors inside park grounds.
- Smoking is permitted inside your vehicle per California State Law. Please note that hanging your arm outside of your car while smoking is not considered inside your vehicle. The ashes can start a fire.
- Security 24/7 starting Friday night.
- Compliance with the City of San Luis Obispo’s municipal and fire codes is mandatory.
- Failure to comply may impact future festivals at Laguna Lake Park and result in citations.
- Be aware that there are neighbors across the lake. We do not want to annoy them with noise.
Quiet Time:
- In-booth campers, dry camp, and RV camping quiet time at at 10 pm
- Respect and consideration for neighbors is appreciated
Alternative Offsite Camping Options:
- El Chorro Regional Park (20 minutes north) offers more extensive group camping with amenities.
- Reservations are highly recommended due to the summer demand.
- Local hotels/motels are available, though prices may be high during this season
