We received an email from a nice lady who was dismayed at the traffic coming into the festival last year. We want to share our response:
We’re aware of the traffic congestion leading into the park and understand the frustration it causes. Unfortunately, with a single-lane road and the need to accommodate both incoming and outgoing vehicles, there’s limited room to speed up the process when large crowds arrive simultaneously. That said, we’ve adjusted the traffic lights to allow for a quicker flow of exiting cars, which should help ease some of the delays.
This year, we’ve also implemented measures to get attendees into the festival more efficiently once parked. While most people purchase tickets in advance, which helps speed up entry, our security team must inspect bags and backpacks for prohibited items like drugs, alcohol, and weapons—a necessary step in today’s world but one that does take time. We have an article about getting in faster with a clear backpack here.
Once inside, you’ll find plenty of space to enjoy the event, along with an expanded food court offering shaded areas and additional straw bale seating for comfort. The wait for food and drinks should be much shorter.
The festival has grown significantly over the past two years, and we’re continuously working to improve everyone’s experience. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to make the event as enjoyable as possible.
Looking forward to seeing you again!
