The Central Coast Renaissance Festival: Fun for All Ages!

The Central Coast Renaissance Festival is a magical experience for the whole family—especially children! From the moment they arrive, they’ll be enchanted by a world of knights, pirates, and storybook characters.

Endless Adventures for Kids

Games & Activities: Test skills with archery, giant Jenga, chess, and Renaissance-era pastimes. At the Children’s Play Area, they’ll have endless fun.

Shows & Entertainment: Watch thrilling falconry displays, acrobatics, storytelling, comedy acts, and live music.

Creative Fun: Get face-painted, have your hair braided, or get temporary henna tattoos.

Epic Battles: Cheer on knights in full armor during an action-packed combat demonstration

Buccaneer Boot Camp: (A Kid Favorite!)  At the Buccaneer Stage, young adventurers take center stage in Buccaneer Boot Camp! They’ll learn about pirate life, including The Code (covering fairness, teamwork, and anti-bullying), then train with balloon swords before battling in a playful pirate duel. It’s a highlight of the day!

They can board our pirate ship for fantastic photo opportunities.

Special Events for Kids
Pirate Day (Sunday): The festival transforms into a swashbuckling paradise! They receive a free “booty bag” and can search for treasures among our vendors and guilds.

Costume Contest: Dress them up! Every child gets a prize—and maybe their first moment on stage. This event takes place at 1:30 p.m. daily at the Buccaneer Stage.

Children’s Court: Meet Queen Elizabeth at her pavilion at 2:00 and receive a personalized certificate.

By day’s end, they’ll head home happily exhausted—with glittering face paint, newfound bravery, and memories to last a lifetime.

Don’t miss this unforgettable family adventure on July 19 & 20 in San Luis Obispo’s Laguna Lake Park.
