The Central Coast Renaissance Festival is run by a non-profit group, History Revisited, and features a Renaissance-style marketplace with thematically decorated tents and booths with approximately 80 vendors selling arts and crafts, food, and beverages, and 4 stages for entertainment. Vendor applications will be reviewed by the vendor coordinator with priority given to hand-crafted, and regionally made products that reflect the Renaissance-era theme, approximately in the late 16th century during the time of Queen Elizabeth I. Popular products include Renaissance fashion, armor, jewelry, leather, and weaponry.
Vendor Application Guidelines:
Introduction:
- Review these guidelines before completing your application for an efficient process.
- The Central Coast Renaissance Festival is organized by the non-profit group, History Revisited.
- Features a Renaissance-style marketplace with themed tents, approximately 80 vendors, and 4 stages for entertainment.
- Priority given to handcrafted, regionally made products reflecting the late 16th-century theme of Queen Elizabeth I’s time.
- Popular products include Renaissance fashion, armor, jewelry, leather, and weaponry.
Product Guidelines:
- Aim for a magical and unique experience, showcasing handmade goods.
- Not a swap meet; the emphasis is on artisan quality.
- Imagine items as if from the Renaissance era.
- Approved items only; no selling from unapproved categories.
- Sunday is Pirate Day, allowing the display and sale of pirate-themed goods in keeping with artisan quality.
- Encouraged to participate in the treasure hunt by bringing inexpensive “treasures” for children.
- Accepted vendors are restricted to selling approved items; no selling from unapproved juried categories.
Craft Categories:
- Select your craft category based on the percentage of inventory.
- If any single item comprises 75% or more of your inventory, that determines your category.
- Criteria for specific categories are outlined below.
Juried Categories:
- Vendors in juried categories may sell up to 25% of non-juried items.
- Non-juried items must not belong to a juried category.
